About — DailyWise
Learn who runs DailyWise, why it exists, and how it stays free: a curated, no-login collection of online tools for everyday productivity.
Who runs DailyWise
DailyWise is an independent project run by a small team of working engineers who build software for a living — the same people who use these tools every day. It is not a startup, not a product of an ad network, and not an automated aggregator. Every tool on this site was written by hand, for a specific problem the team actually hit.
You can reach the team directly at amee.cn@gmail.com. There is no sales team and no ticket queue: emails are read by the same people who build the tools, and feature requests that make sense get built.
Why this exists
We keep running into the same wall: a simple task — converting a document to Markdown, checking a mortgage payment, estimating a US tax bill — gets locked behind a signup form, a paywall, or a 14-day trial. The data behind that wall is usually not sensitive at all, yet the only way to get the answer is to hand over an email address.
DailyWise exists to remove that wall. The idea is deliberately narrow: take a small set of genuinely useful utilities, make them free, make them run locally in your browser where your files never leave your device, and keep them that way. No accounts, no tracking of individual users, no dark patterns.
What problems it solves
Today the site covers everyday problems that come up in work and in life: document conversion (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel to clean Markdown, processed entirely on your device), personal finance (mortgage and loan payments, US federal & state tax estimates for all 50 states plus DC), developer utilities, and practical tools for site owners.
Two design rules apply to everything we ship. First, privacy by architecture: if a tool can run in your browser, it does — your files are never uploaded. Second, honesty: we never invent user counts, fake reviews or fake testimonials, and we are transparent about how the site makes money (advertising plus optional coffee support).
How it stays free
Running a site costs money — hosting, a domain, and time. DailyWise keeps the tools free for everyone and is funded by two things, both disclosed on this site: advertising served by Google AdSense (including interest-based ads, see our Privacy Policy), and optional support — if a tool saves you time, you can buy us a coffee. Neither is required to use anything.
Because funding is small and transparent, the team can keep the rules simple: your data is not sold, your files are not uploaded, and the tools stay free.
